SET YOUR EYES UPON THE LORD WHO IS YOUR LIGHT AND ALL THINGS SHALL BE CLEAR AND BRIGHT.
The absolute truth is "Light repels darkness but darkness can never repel light". In darkness, you need light in order to see. Your eyes are of no use in darkness for you can not see anything.
Darkness is also attributed to one's life situation or condition. When a person is living outside of the truth or experiencing difficulties and sufferings, he seems to be living in darkness.
This is where hope comes into play. The hope that at the end of each night of darkness comes the light of a brand new day.
Lord, you are the light that brightens my world.
